Jonathan Adams Senior
Consultant:
activities
s in a variety of sectors.
|
Early career
focussed on the design and site construction activities for
bridges and highway structures where he was able to gain
experience of cost control and the impacts of work flow
variations. In addition he experienced how important the
decision making process is to create smooth work flow
operations.
|
|
Interest in the
design process enabled him to gain a position at multi
disciplinary consultant Ove Arup, project engineering
solutions on large complex commercial and leisure projects.
At a smaller local practise he managed teams designing
commercial projects for small developers and large Blue Chip
Clients.
|
|
To increase
project management expertise he joined a railway
infrastructure company as Principal Project Manager, leading
a team that successfully delivered the design and tender of
rail infrastructure for an eight platform transport hub in
London.
|
|
His supply chain
knowledge of the manufacturing sector commenced when he
worked for a large PLC starting up contracting operations
supplying large span roofing solutions for aircraft hangers
and supermarkets. This was followed by periods as a
Commercial Manager at two group companies supplying added
value construction products.

Interest in
manufacturing progressed, and he joined the largest steel
product producer in the UK. The early years were spent
marketing the company’s products to specifiers contractors
and tier 1 & 2 contractors which required the creation of
framing and cladding solutions, cost comparisons and value
exercises along with selling activities. This period created
a depth of supply chain knowledge and value management
activities required to create integrated construction
solutions.
